Society Description

The Latin & Classics Society is open to all students passionate about the ancient world, allowing members to explore various aspects of Classics based on their interests. No prior study of Latin is required—just curiosity and enthusiasm for mythology, history, language, and culture!

Society Project Description

What Makes Us Special

The Latin & Classics Society explores the elegance, endurance, and weirdness of the ancient world, focusing on Greece and Rome. We meet every Tuesday to discuss mythology, etymology, literature, and history through engaging activities and debates, offering a fun and insightful way to connect with the classical past and its modern influence.

The Latin & Classics Society hosts lectures and debates in the library during lunchtime for classical enrichment. Our annual highlight is Enrichment Week, featuring interactive activities, including quizzes, games, poetry readings, and more. This year, we aim to expand our reach beyond NLCS Jeju by hosting poetry readings at various locations across Jeju Island.
