What Makes Us Special
The Debate Society is a platform for students to refine their public speaking, critical thinking, and argumentation skills. We meet every Tuesday to engage in debates on a variety of topics, including global politics, economics, philosophy, and more, offering a supportive environment for all skill levels to develop confidence and persuasive communication.
The Debate Society regularly organises lunchtime library debates, often against societies celebrating their Enrichment Week. We also host the annual Jeju Forensics Network Debate Competition (JFNODC) and send teams to represent NLCS Jeju at the highest levels internationally.
